Opinion poll challenge
Some right wing elements have always claimed that major media in US tilted to left. Those same elements are claiming current opinion poll data is manipulated. Their claim is that media is pushing Clinton's increasing lead story to steal the election from Trump.
NY times, NBC/WSJ, CBS, Washington Post/ABC and Fox News (yes, them too) are projecting Hillary's 5 plus % lead ( to a high of 9%). She is projected to win 300 plus in electoral college.
Right Wingers point to IBD poll (1 % lead for Trump) and Rasmussen poll (1% lead for Trump). Then there is controversial LAtimes/USC poll that shows Trump leading.
Right wingers also point to Brexit, and Columbian peace vote surprises. However they fail to add that both these polls showed a very close election and a surprise was very much with in margin of error.
Here is the challenge:
If Nov 8 results in a Trump victory, would liberals agree that media's bias resulted in manipulation of news to boost and support Hillary Clinton?
If Nov 8 results in Hillary victory, would right wingers agree they whine too much and media is reporting news professionally?
Of course we have 18 more days to election time. If there is a major event that changes voter direction ( EX: Hillary Clinton is arrested for some scam) , then we need to make allowance for that.
If Senate goes to democrats along with Hillary victory, then Right wingers must agree that their right wing web sites are bogus and their function is to distort news to keep right wingers in long term delusion.

Re: Opinion poll challenge
The money trail seems to indicate heavy, near total preference for Hillary among journalists. Of course, it is possible that despite donating to her campaign, they will act impartially and provide fair and balanced coverage.
In all, people identified in federal campaign finance filings as journalists, reporters, news editors or television news anchors — as well as other donors known to be working in journalism — have combined to give more than $396,000 to the presidential campaigns of Clinton and Trump, according to a Center for Public Integrity analysis. Nearly all of that money — more than 96 percent — has benefited Clinton: About 430 people who work in journalism have, through August, combined to give about $382,000 to the Democratic nominee, the Center for Public Integrity’s analysis indicates.

Journalists have a right to donate to the candidate of their choice. Corporations are not the only ones with soul.
In any case, that information, if it is true, does not change our challenge.

Re: Opinion poll challenge
Are we talking about the same media outlets that during the primaries gave Donny Groper aka Trumple-thin-skin free air time, fawned over him, did not subject him to the same withering examination that they were subjecting HRC to? Are these the same guys who gave us no information during the primaries about the multiple business failures, stiffing of contractors, and grabbing of pussies, and instead behaved like shills for Donny Groper?
If the answer to these questions is yes, I'd say they are catching up, and doing the work they neglected doing during the primary season and compensating for their prior laziness. So it feels like they're in the tank for Hillary, but not really.

Re: Opinion poll challenge
Max,
The answer is yes. The same media that was estimated to have given Trump 3 billion dollars of free air time. Its the same media that Trump gave interviews and called on phone.
Now that the numbers say something unpleasant, Trump calls that same media as Clinton's army.
Here is a chance for the such right wingers to prove their point that media is biased against Trump. Data from Nov 8 should clarify whose claims are right.

Re: Opinion poll challenge
IBD dialy tracking poll showed a 2 point lead for Trump. Some other poll also showed Hillary lead cut to 4 from 7 points.
Are right wingers believing in media polls again?
It is not surprising since the Access Hollywood tape affect is wearing off and some republicans may be going home as the talk of landslide began to gain currency.
Even though Trump is making his best foot in mouth effort, current polarized voters are unlikely to give a 7 or 8 point victory. Final result will still be less than 5% or probably close to 2%. Most republicans will go home to vote for Trump. Utah, and GA will fall in line. AZ could still be a toss up because of Mexican vote.

Re: Opinion poll challenge
Hillary is going to win, though not with a landslide, imo. It's a shame that with 30 yrs of political experience, with a crappy candidate like trump, with all the millions she spent on negative campaining against Trump, and with the classy lady Michelle Obama stepping in to canvass for her, she's still as unpopular as Trump. This should send her and other politicians a strong message: That America is not going to be happy with corrupt and dishonest politicians.truthbetold wrote:IBD dialy tracking poll showed a 2 point lead for Trump. Whatever votes she's going to gather, most of them are going to come from negative voting. People are forced to vote for her because they have no other better choice. She's like the better of the two evils. Shame! The exhilaration, excitement, enthusiasm, optimism, hope, etc that the voters had when they elected Obama is lacking now.
From the latest reports, GA is still at a deadlock. I hope it turns blue this time around.
"The poll released Friday shows Trump leading Clinton 44-42 among likely Georgia voters, which is within the poll’s margin of error.
Both candidates remain deeply unpopular in Georgia. About six in 10 voters had negative views of both Trump and Clinton. And a significant portion of voters – a third of Clinton’s supporters and almost half of Trump’s backers – said they see their pick for president more as a vote against their opponent."

thundering ivory toweran misses the primary motivation of mass media: make profit based on ratings. trump gave them what they want for a full year so they egged him on. now it's time to get on hidimbi bandwagon as the tide has turned against cheetos. them being lazy or whatever has nothing to do with it saar
