why didn't clinton sue trump for slander and libel during the election campaign? for example, for trump's lie that obama and clinton founded isis.

no doubt, clinton's goal was to win the election; but had she sued trump for slander and libel, she would have done the right thing, and increased her probability of winning the election.

as it stands, she neither won the election, nor discouraged trump's near-criminal, uncivil behaviour.
