Key questions for TN's future

Great analysis. To that I would also add the question of continued resistance to Hindi hegemony. JJ did that very well even as M.K seems to have lost his appetite for this in recent years. Hope whoever emerges the AIADMK leader doesn't abandon this important goal.
More importantly, Tamil Nadu remains the last bastion that Hindutva is unable to breach. An ideologically driven BJP will look to capitalise on the political vacuum resulting from Jayalalithaa’s absence. In a striking parallel, the Congress was in an analogous position in Tamil Nadu following MGR’s death in December 1987; it bungled. Jayalalithaa, for all her nationalist leanings, served the cause of the Dravidian movement by wresting and then consolidating MGR’s legacy. The BJP undoubtedly senses an opportunity. Will a leader emerge to stop the BJP in its tracks? The political future of Tamil Nadu now hinges on one question.

Re: Key questions for TN's future
Hindi hegemony is all rhetoric. As the southern states march ahead in development, the cow-belt will be forced to pull out of their BIMARU-hood. Only fools will try and force Hindi through the throats of SIs.
The old methods of TN in opposing Hindi won't be all that necessary. Instead, future leaders should concentrate more on economic development (and diversification) and less on caste politics of DKheads. The advantages that TN has won't last forever. Other states are coming up and they will challenge for the top spot.

I thought the same too and actually worried.
1) BJP trying to get alliance with ADMK and ride on it imposing its Hindi agenda, A weak ADMK leader could succumb to it.
2) JL stood against Hindi and occasionally had even make BJP retreat back (at least twice).
3) Do Vaiko of MDMK and and Ramadoss of PMK has a role to play. They are the old stalwarts against Hindi. They should ally with ADMK to negate BJP inroads.

Hindi imposition is alive and kicking. Answer it, is there more Hindi imposition today than January 2016?

We are not subjected to any body Even the dead God
Yama comes no fear to us.
