That's fake fake news. It was clear to the meanest intelligence that he hadn't seen the memo. If he had seen the memo, he would have published it, not describe it. Nowhere in his article did he claim to have seen the memo. When I read his article the first time, I had assumed that someone within the FBI who had access to the letter had leaked its contents to him. It never even occurred to me that he might have seen it. If he had seen it, he would have thought to mention it.

The New York Times has not viewed a copy of the memo, which is unclassified, but one of Mr. Comey’s associates read parts of it to a Times reporter.
