May be they are part of the dating lingo here but I didn't quite like the terminology Nice Guy and Good Man. But the classification makes sense. There are those whose worth is their Values, Integrity and Responsibility and they consistently display that in whatever realm of serious activity they get into be it personal, family, organizational, community, state or whole world. And then there are those who can manufacture and wear any mask that helps them accomplish their personal goals in the given context.

And nice guys wonder why no woman falls for them despite them being so nice. That's coz women ain't no fools. 'Nice' guys are actually a huge put off.

This is the question that comes up most often, the question that most men ask: Why don't women like nice guys? The answer is: women can easily make out who's genuinely good and who's a hypocrite and trying hard to be nice, who's strong and confident vs who's sissy, needy and unsure. Just trying to act nice and display niceness doesn't cut it. 

As a mom of two boys, I think I raised two strong, confident, and genuinely good young men with good values, not 'nice' guys.
