Apple doesn't fall too far ...

Daughter (D), "Mommy, am I weird?"

Me [waiting for my tea water to boil, and eating lil chhole for timepass], "Yes". *sigh* (just like ur mom).

D, "Very weird?"

Me [thoughtful nod, weighing carefully], "Weird."

D, "You know, I am the only kid who knows all about the teachers. E'one thinks I am weird.

"Mr X, our social studies teacher, has had a gf since October 2011.
"She is beautiful, sweet, and glam, apparently.
"Her birthday is August 15.
"He doesn't remember the anniversary of when they met."

[pause]

Me, "Who did he have before her?"

D, "What do you mean?"

Me, "Before this one. Did he have another gf?"

D, *shrug*, "I don't know. He was single I guess."

D, continues, "You know, Ms P is the only single teacher now in my grade.

"Ms. A and Ms. B are married, with two kids each. Mr. X and Mr. Y have girlfriends.

"Ms P grew up poor. She went to so n so university. She paid for her own college.
"Her parents love her very much.
"She is very close to her family.
"The last family reunion she had was 2 years ago.
"Her b'day is Feb 29th.
"She is 28."

[pause]

I stand there with mouth open with a spoonful of chhole right infront of it.

[pause]

Me [sarcastically], "What's her blood group?"

D, "She would not tell me. Mr. X is blood group O. Is that a real group?"
