Read the following article (1-2 incidents, specially about a 13 yr old child are bone chilling), this is a growing problem in India and immediate action and strict laws need to be out in place immediately.

I wonder though if this Alagu Vignesh guy's stats are correct.

just checked. According to UN statistics, in 2010, among all countries,
Sweden had the highest incidence of rapes reportedper 100,000 people.
But let us just compare your great land of freedom, The United States of
America, with poor India. US rape statistics stands at 27.3 per 100,000
people. In India it is 1.8. Even if we were to assume, social and
cultural taboo prevents most cases in India getting reported, lets say
somewhere around only 10 percent gets reported and 90% does not (and
that is the most generous estimate even women's groups in India
provide), that makes it to 18. And still we will also ignore that there
are unreported rapes in the US too. By all means, the USA seems to be an
even worse place for women to protect their dignity. You stay there.
And we'll stay here.
