This is utter stupidity. It is not a question of equality but one of male psychology of protecting his "Properties" - land, Gold, and females.

Blame it on Biology if you will, this has disaster written all over.

Imagine the body of a female soldier being dragged by taliban or even worse....

I shudder to think the US reaction.
