What do you think of U.P. Govt. (S.P.) trying these days to put 17 OBC castes in the SC category?

the objective might be to help create a distinction between jatava dalits (the most populous dalit sub-caste in UP) and non-jatava dalits. Mayawati is a jatava dalit.

Movements like the naxalite movement flourish in regions with high poverty where there is tremendous income inequality and social oppression. These factors have to be present simultaneously for such a movement to flourish. Based on this one can say that in both Bihar and AP, there must be tremendous levels of income inequality, social oppression, and poverty.
