Jayalalitha, Karunanidhi, MMS, and a few other politicians are having a field day because the they are immune to the bane of anyone in public life - a sex scandal. Anybody would laugh if the "moral turpitude" issue is even contemplated as a weapon against them. We can understand what Kamal Hasan is facing - full weight of Jayalalitha (no pun intended) with nothing that could work as a counterweight (if there is such a thing).
