had me hopping for a while.

solve:

sin x + sin 2x + sin 3x + ......+sin 100x = 101

x does not exist because the sum cannot add to more than 100(coz sin x can be at most 1).

yeah. silly problem.

i confess i tried converting it to an exponential function (involving complex numbers) and summing the resulting geometric series for a good twenty minutes, until the forehead slapping moment arrived.
