the word romantic is the most overused word in hindustani music, but raga bageshree truly deserves the appellation. and there is nobody who plays it better than nikhil banerjee. beautiful recording. it's so good to have so much of his music on youtube. enjoy.

heard first few seconds, first sorta shocked me, then made me sleepy. thankful for that though as long day tomorrow. gn and happy v day/night/whatever is left of it.

for folks in the beginning stages of developing an appreciation for instrumental HM, i recommend skipping the alap and fast forwarding to the gat.

I used to listen/enjoy HM in pocket transistor radio in my Bombay years. 3rd floor balcony, late night, mild HM in the background.
This recording is so clear... Thanks..
