I assume it for kids. We give ginger juice/extract with honey for severe cold/flu. Pepper Ghee rice can also be given. Garlic Ambti/Kolkar (spicy soup kind of Kuzhambu ) where you mash the garlic(boiled/soaked in Ambti) along with rice and the flu will be gone..
