Once upon a time in mumbai while shopping for my cousin's wedding ...heard this song at a wedding collection boutique....ever since loved this song & the copper brown lengha

makes me ask you this: invested in sesa goa years ago? look how jhunjhunwala made a killing on those stocks.

i wouldn't be able to tell you much. i don't know much about stocks. but sesa goa is an anil agarwal (vedanta) company now. earlier it belonged to some multinational. who is jhunjhunwala? are you talking about that fat, kolkata broker who made millions by dabbling in the stock market? if it's that guy, that guy has offices of fund managers in his office: dedicated to him!

my bff almost married a fat jhunjhunwala... actually that's the reason why she did NOT marry him... kar leti to shayad sabka fayeda hota, nahi?

yes, anil agarwal, a high-school dropout, and somebody who is going to purchase cairn india stock soon.
rakesh jhunjhunwala is india's warren buffet (indian media likes to make comparisons) who has made tons of money in the stock market. yes, he is fat, chews paan, eats indian snacks, drinks, smokes and at times burps during the interview without offering an excuse. i thought he was from Mumbai but i am not sure. the guy has struck riches like nobody else in india has.
here's an example. he bought titan ind stock for sub-100 in 2003 and that stock is trading for 4400 today. to put it in perspective, had you invested 60K in that stock in 2003, you would have made 44 lakh today. and he buys thousands of such stocks. sesa goa, VIP, lupin are some of his finds. his portfolio is tracked by many investors.
prof mankekar is yet another such person but he avoids all media and limelight.

i was wrong. he is a mumbai boy. i had imagined he had a kolkata connection. while checking up on him, i came across this interview where i was surprised to see amit goela's name. he was the economics teacher's pet in the secondary school we both attended. i'm in touch with him through the past pupils' group on yahoo groups (though i never knew much about who he was currently employed with). i guess he is an important man now in rare enterprises now. he had managed our IPO once -- he was with ITC Classic then. the IPO was a success but the company flopped, he he.
