90% of the population want/approve backgorund check before gun control. The republican congressmen who would not hesitate to switch to the winning side - even at 50% - are refusing to support gun laws.

This is strange and one can be sure it is bcz of NRA and the manufacturer lobby. Shows the money power is bigger than people power, despite all the increased shooting, newton, Aurora, Arizona killings.

NRA = weapons manufacturers lobby

Even a majority of NRA members support stricter background checks, but GOP legislators are against that.
