NTR forced restaurants to sell idlis at a cheap price (forgot what it was; 25 paise?). Restaurants put some spice in idli and called them by a different name to sell at a higher price.

Looks like Jaya has a better formula. She is helping women's organizations to run the canteens and they are doing a good job. I know they tried this in WB in the 60's and it was also a success.

Forme r Finance minister5 Chithamparam said that if Hindi states do not syphon off money from southern and western states, these states would be better off. We can hav cheaPER food and other merchandise.

So what is the solution to bring down prices in southern and western states? Think hard.
