...It is a fact that every house in India has been surveyed by local thugs/real estate for NRI presence/ownership...Would you be apprehensive that thugs can barge in and attack for cash and jewelry during your visit with your family?

My house in India was broken into when no one was home. Of course, no one was hurt and they took just an iPad with all sarees thrown all around. But, the burglars would know when NRI relatives visit the house, and that is some concern.
