Kamal seems to be the victim in this case..well, at least trying to be nice and charitable to a lady fan! No good deed goes unpunished:)
And funny..of all the tamil actors, he never seems excited to see anyone..usually seems "self-engaged/absorbed" in public, a little detached. As Radhika once famously said in a tribute to him..it does not matter if it's a woman actress or buffalo, he looks at them exactly the same:D..and it's about his "performance" and has nothing to do with them!
With the Iron man..not sure, have to paid attention to see..if he is the usual hugger or hugee.

If you really think about, you will see that it is the SC/ST and MBC people in TN are the ones who still uphold the old Tamil moral values, chastity, honor etc. It is the upper middle class belonging to forward caste people like Kamal and the woman who desperately wanted to hug him are the ones who try to ape the west and fall flat on their face.
The confusing thing about Kamala Hasan is that on one hand he is claiming to be one of the Muslims who want women to wear Purdahs and at the same time pretend to be 'modern' like the white man.
Btw that woman told the audience that she asked her daughter to tell he dad to go away so that she can hug and ask Kamal. What next? She is going to tell her husband not to return for few days so that she can sleep with Kamal?
It seems in that talk show Kamal was discussing about men and women who are married to others having affairs.
Now some people in SUCH are going to ayyack me personally.

the folks who usually complain about stuff like this are politicians who freely indulge in extramarital affairs. my suggestion for them is to take three prescription dose tablets of shut the fuck up and call the doctor in the morning. this streak of hypocrisy that runs through contemporary tamil society is dyspepsia inducing.

Always nice to see your sense of humor.. At least Kamal knows what he is talking about:) One can say a lot of things about him..but he has never pretended to be a paragon of sexual morality!
And it's good that they did not bring in a Christian priest as an 'expert' panelist..as they sometimes do..esp. in the West on matters related to Contraception and Birth control!
While all this new "openness" in India about people talking about their personal relationships and in public is nice to a certain extent..some times they do go overboard with their families around..and all this imitation of the West (on so many levels)..is something to see..it's often funny or plain silly!

That's for sure Seva..to create interest and controversy, and these shows are quite entertaining and draw huge audiences.
It's natural, anything related to relationships and sex lives of others..makes people curious and it's an easy enticement:)

If women are letting him kiss/hug them then there is no case in the first place. The case is assuming hugs and kisses are unwanted and unasked for. i was comparing unwelcome xoxoz to rape to indicate how silly your question was.

from what I gather, the issue seems to be that its prime time TV - family types along with children watch and that it's not appropriate to show such indiscreet solicitations from exuberant/exhibitionistic characters, the follow up and also disclosing details of the couples intimacy, when they are not legally married etc., etc.,

I watched that show. The TV anchor DD also requested him for a hug and kiss and he couldn’t turn it down and it was more like ewwwww. Why would anyone want to hug him?! Anyways, what’s wrong in hugging “Kamala”

In that show...Kamal talked about other informative things but who cares for that. But, they cannot compare with our TR's knowledge: he is not only knowledgeable, interesting, entertaining and multi talented but also very encouraging to peers of the media industry.
