...The SC denied his bail appeal last October, and the next round of re-appeals start from the bottom again...

Sooner or later, the CP - criminal politician gets out on bail - and never goes back into jail ever again. Case in point: Kani Mozhi.

The EC should bar those with "active cases" at a higher court - ineligible to stand in elections.
