hey snoopy, aren't you watching this today? let me know how you like it. my older son claimed that there were some "logical and scientific goofs" (something about spacecrafts breaking orbits and hurling towards earth for one Rolling Eyes

) and had a heated argument with his friend over it.

Yep. Terrific ride in IMAX 3D. Benedict Cumberbatch was brilliant. Spock yelling Khan's name was memorable.

Oh and tell the kiddo that they got their shields and thrusters back online.

Surprisingly no trekkies in Star fleet costumes for an opening show.

good that you enjoyed the movie in full IMAX splendour. it was largely a visual treat for me.

now that you've watched it, i can say that i was disappointed to see a vulcan cry and to add to that, khan shed tears too! sheesh, way too much bromance!

of course, there was the not-so-subtle "terrorism" message. wish they just stick to pure sci-fi and not send messages to the world.

JJ Abrams rewrote the whole franchise in an alternate timeline. Leonard Nimoy has a guest role in both movies as the future Spock.

i am doing well except with my knee situation. I have been told that i have "runners knee" and was in a lot of pain two months back. I was advised three months of non impact training and of course, no dancing Crying or Very sad

and physical therapy. I do feel better with my physical therapy sessions and have started to slowly dance again but it is nowhere near my goal. Let's see. Hopefully, by the end of the year, i am up and dancing just in time for this year's season.

i didn't watch the first movie either before watching this one but then my kids filled me in with the 'alternate timeline' and other such matters.

, i was able to dance for 35 mins yesterday and no pain. the day before yesterday, it was about 30 and after that my knee started to hurt. this is a good sign, don't you think? thanks for your wishes...what caused it? i was told dancing, probably a combination of things. does age play a part? i wonder....

guys, watched this movie. totally enjoyed it. I have not seen any other movies in this series but the visuals and casting were amazing. This thread made me go watch it :-) HA and BW are solely responsible.
