I somewhat agree with that wisdom. Marriage is a jhanjhat. But everyone should get married once, if they are in a relationship.

Marriage is what brings two sets of problems together. her problems are his problems and his becomes hers. Then it becomes a question of survival, and the marriage lasts forever.

Living together, in contrast, is purely based on common "interests" and not much place for challenges.

Marriage is what brings two sets of problems together. her problems are his problems and his becomes hers remain his. Then it becomes a question of survival *for him*, and the marriage lasts forever.

Living together, in contrast, is purely based on common "interests" and not much place for challenges
