DRAUGHT ---- (daughter - e) - anag. But does it mean "plan?" I don't know. "Draft" could be stretched to mean "plan" but draught - I don't know (may be by claiming British proclivities to jumble up their spellings).

Yes. Draught is the original spelling of draft.

draught

, draughty

\ˈdräft\\ˈdräf-tē\

Definition of DRAUGHT

chiefly British variant of draft, drafty

And Draft is plan.

6 : the act, result, or plan of drawing out or stretching

I thought of that too. But couldn't fit the clue.
Then I thought may be sounds like draft ( for plan) but there is no homonym indicator.

fer ( sounds like fur) - men (people) -t(hud) ?

yes. almost!

i used 'model' to refer to the car, ford model T, a commonly used indicator in cryptics for "T".
