SHE is dead; SHE2 and SHE3 after experimenting with nascent latent lesbianism and breaking up over a cute little puppy decide to settle down; the last line should read

HE2SHE3    SHE2IT  HE

where in our hero's wingman HE2 rescues SHE3 from her puppy love for the puppy and SHE2, who is genetically predisposed towards only women and remembering her theory of rebound from college days decides to spend the rest of days with aforementioned abandoned puppy. The protaganist HE left high and dry becomes a hermit, instead of her mitten.

I presume that SHE3 is latent and SHE2 is patent. Why did you kill SHE?
