WOW. The pic of the giant Shiva gushing with the flow of water is very powerful and surreal.....I looked at all views of it available on google images. Does it make anyone wonder- why such destruction?What is God doing?

All those 8-10 stories buildings will come down soon. More deaths.

although the official toll is 150 odd, the actual numbers could be much higher according to the latest news. this is terrible.

I saw in a couple of videos on YouTube. People were standing in their balconies and watching the floods pass by right under them. And this is when you are also seeing buildings collapsing by the same riverside.

My question is, are there any evacuation protocols in India?

In India, evacuation is an after the fact event. There has been constant talk about this on Telugu news channels as well. Apparently, 3000 pilgrims from A.P are stranded.

this is turning uglier by the minute. 550 dead. forecast of heavy rain in the coming days could hamper rescue besides causing more casualties.

Shiva is just doing what he is supposed to do. People pray to Lord Shiva day and night and trek the mountains, and when he does his duty, people complain...
