Splitting the assets of AP Empty Splitting the assets of AP

Post by Vakavaka Pakapaka Mon Jul 29, 2013 7:47 am

Now that MT has decided to split AP into two, will there be a 1947 type splitting of AP's assets?

Almost all institutions are built around Hyderabad - IIT, IBS, IASC, Cyber City, Central University, Pharma industry, BHEL, IIIT.........

If Hyderabad goes to T, then, shouldn't Coastal Andhra and R-seema get some of these? After the separation, why should people from these regions go to T-Hyderabad and face discrimination?

Should there be central assistance for SA people to relocate from Hyderabad to SA towns and cities?

How about protecting home owners in Hyderabad from losing their shirts because of an impending free fall in real estate prices?

Almost forgot to add - how about the IIT coaching schools :-)? Will most of them move out since, after partition, SA parents will be reluctant to send their kids to Hyd?

I think you should be worried more about the fate of farmers in your home district without Krishna waters than real estate prices in Hyd. What are the basis for real estate free fall speculation.

Yeah, water will be a huge issue. Hopefully, there won't be a "palnaati yuddham" over water sharing. Krishna delta without water will devastate that area (and my polaalu will become beedulu).

It is comforting to know that Hyderabad real estate won't have a free fall (I can sell my assets to Kodandaram and gang, move to Srungavarapukota or Konaseema and learn a new yaasa).

Here is a dharma sandeham:  Obviously, "maa Telugu talliki mallepoodanda......." will go to Andhra. Someone on chartboards is suggesting that there will be a new song for Telangana Talli; he is also suggesting that she will be called a Saviti talli, Pinni, "Suryakaantam", etc., by Andhra guys in future. Just awaiting the new song for Telangana (in colorful bhaasha).

how does it work, to make hyd a union territory for 5 yrs and then giving it to telangana? once central govt wrests hyd from the state and turn it into union territory, why would the bureaucracy return the only place in telangana worth a damn back to those fools?

It doesn't have to be a UT for five years. It can be the joint capital for that period: as part of separation negotiations, Telangana agrees to let Andhra use Hyderabad as their capital for five years.

that's what I thought but read last night that they're proposing calling it a union territory.

My feeble attempt to write a song for Telangana Talli:
