Importance of Tradition in a Family with Kids Empty Importance of Tradition in a Family with Kids

Over time, I have realized the importance of "repeating", as in starting a tradition in a family esp. with growing kids (under 12).

Every Saturday in Winter, no matter what, we have to go to Ski.

That is how it all started.

Till a Saturday came, when ski season was over, and my son got up at 6 AM, and by 9 AM started bothering me that he was bored, and wanted to do "something".

Hmm.

So, I made a new rule - Every Saturday, no matter what, we will go to Hike.

Fundamentally, it boils down to - Setting some repetitive rules for growing children, which could be Dinner at 8:35 PM, every day.

And kids love it, or miss it.

Random learnings from kids,
TS.
