Community college route to UC Berkeley

They empower students who wouldn't or couldn't jump through the often pricey hoops that game the high school admissions process; those trips to dig trenches in Nicaragua, those essay writing coaches etc. Two of my kids, both white males, got into Berkeley from a community college. A four-year stint is ideal but community colleges provide the next best alternative.[/font][/color]

Those are rare and I am sure those 2 had just more than plain academics on their resume.

Essentially, this is highly subjective, and the best is to aim for Berkeley and if not successful get into any other UC campus - Davis, Santa barabara, San Diego, or even the newest Merced.

P.S. To get into UCLA is sometimes even more difficult than into Berkeley (depending on the major).
