Disappointing interview! Don't know why I am surprised. Shouldn't have expected better from her. She comes across as being insecure and weak, and hence overly defensive.
LOL @ "They don't prostrate before me in public!"
LOL also at people calling her an 'iron lady' because she talked back (read got defensive and refused to be straightforward in her answers to some uncomfortable questions) to an interviewer. Typical prostrating Tamil mentality!

Negative. Your comments are quite false. They also sound no different from the comments of other people on Youtube under that video: all too Tamilian in how they parrot the same victimized line of thinking as JJ, "does not like strong, independent women", etc. Karan Thappar specializes in this kind of contrarian interview style. After you see him do the same thing to several male interviewees in the below video, I hope you take your words back. Especially the part about him being a "male chuvanist".

She is potential politician no doubt...those were predictable cross questions from journalist Karan Thapar...she got worked up for no reason:)..was she expecting him to say amma vazhga?
I don't think Karan Thapar is chauvinistic interviewer....his questions are of same nature to all those who participate in his show

Maybe this is his MO as others have mentioned or maybe he is an ass, but the point is if you are an elected official worth your salt, you don't respond the way JJ does in this clip.
