She won't do that. She will make Chidambaram, Sibel, Pilot, Scindia, etc., sweat it out until after the election and then, if all manipulations succeed and she has the required number, announces her nalayak son as the PM candidate. He will follow in the foot steps of MMS and take mauna vratam for the next 5 years. India is blessed!

People / voters should demand that each political party declare its potential prime minister's name several months before the elections. That way there won't be any surprises after the elections, e.g. the prime minister being installed by political parties and groups through the back door, without having won a parliamentary (Lok Sabha) seat and faced the voting public in elections and debates.

It would be interesting to see who succeeds Modi in Gujrat! Amit Shaw??? Ugly Titsa Seetalwad and her husband Javed Anand will obviously go after Amit.

Chidambaram is a southerner, and that too from a State where Congress is almost dead, Sibel/Sibal sometimes speaks his mind, Pilot carries Rajuv gandhi baggage (with Sikhs), and Scindia will seal her fate if let out from under the thumb. She herself is Italian, and her health issues indicate she is almost ready to kick the bucket. So she can either play safe and offer MMS, or be daring and offer Rahul.
