Toilets are not a priority for most people in India. Empty Toilets are not a priority for most people in India.

Indian weddings are so expensive (even for the poor). They have to invite 100's of relatives and others. The guests then have to give gifts. There are other unmentionable expenses as well.
They could easily make a toilet by cutting the cost of weddings. So the question is why they do not do it ? They ask for cars and tv's as gifts not money to construct a toilet? Why ?
The only answer seems to be Toilets are not a priority for most people.
