Interestingly, Forbes writes, "...heads ....... the world's second largest population" (not, the world's largest "democracy"). I suppose, her SIL will say, the world's biggest "banana republic".

The Forbes list of the world's most powerful people is out and Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been ranked as the third most influential woman in the world. She is 21st on the overall list.
...
In a separate list of the world's 100 most powerful women, Forbes ranked Gandhi in the ninth position.

On a separate note of interest:

But the world's most powerful person according to the Forbes Magazine is Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin toppled US President Barack Obama this year and has made it to the top spot for the first time.
