...the stock markets were reacting strongly favorable to the jobs report, Obamacare blah blah? What are they reacting so negatively for now?

Budget deal clears any doubt of expected fed taper.
while stock market may do lot of unnecessary gyrations, us economy is on firm footing. world economy may also a better 2014 with improved China, Japan, us, UK, and euro performance.
