Too many parties want a piece of it or wanna grab the whole pie but can they? Kiran announced his plans of new party, rumor is that Pawan Kalyan wants to float a new party (may be our own Pavan can take a cue and float his own party in 'T' Razz), BJP wants go alone is SA. Situation looks so dim.. what the heck is going on & who is gonna win with everyone splitting votes, Jagan, Kiran, Pawan, Narayan, Venkan or Chandran?

Looks like CONartists and Chiranjeevi are trying every trick in the book to try and get some MPs elected from coastal and Seema areas.

A couple of weeks of ago Journalist Ravi Telakapalli, on TV5, was suggesting that 'T' state is crowded with political parties.. wonder what will he have to say about residual state, as it seems to be heading towards worst possible situation.

Pawan's entrance will be bad for Chiranjeevi, as he most likely will split his vote bank; why would he encourage that? I know there are some speculations that Pawan is to counter both TDP & Jagan, looks like Balijas in Rayalaseema (a subsect of Kapus?) are pro-TDP.

I was talking to my nephews yesterday. They think that TDP may surprise everyone in AP. They also say that KCR is not a well liked politician in T!

When I was a kid, Pucchalapalli Sundaraiah and other Communists were very popular. May be, CPM will get some seats this time in coastal areas.

Totally incoherent speech, lacks clarity, vision, goal or agenda. He doesn't know whether he would contest or not. Many analysts are speculating that he is TDP's mouth piece. I guess TDP's desperate attempt (What's new) to get some Kapu votes.

Hyderabad: Pawan Kalyan floated his new party Jana Sena and at the announcement he targeted the Congress. He didn’t utter a single word against Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. Instead, he said “He is a good person,” when Chandrababu’s name was raised by the crowd. This confirms what others have been suspecting — a soft corner for the TD chief.

If TD has Pawan, they won’t need Jr NTR

If Pawan Kalyan joins hands with the TD, Jr NTR, who worked with the TD in the last elections, is likely to be the loser. Earlier the party wanted to use Jr NTR for its campaign in the coming elections. But now, if Pawan Kalyan is willing to campaign for the party, with Balakrishna already there, they may not need Jr NTR at all.

Kodali Nani episode not forgotten

The Nandamuri family, and especially Balakrishna, is very annoyed with Jr NTR. When his close friend Kodali Nani joined the YSR Congress and used NTR’s pictures at a rally, Balakrishna asked Jr NTR to condemn it — but he did not. Since then Balakrishna and the TD party have distanced themselves from the young actor.

Both Balakrishna and Jr NTR have big egos. The first move, however, was made by Balakrishna. Jr NTR didn’t respond then. After many months and few flop films, the latter is ready for a patch-up now, but we hear Balakrishna isn’t interested.

No support from father-in-law

Jr NTR’s father-in-law, Narni Srinivasa Rao, a very wealthy person and a relative of Naidu, has recently shifted loyalties and joined the YSRC. Had he been in the TD, he could have spoken in favour of the son-in-law and helped patch up things. Harikrishna, Jr NTR’s father, is another perpetual nuisance in the TD.

The Tragicomedy of Andhra Pradesh

"Pawan Kalyan announced his entry into politics on a Friday, at a ritzy convention centre attended by an ‘invitation only’ audience beamed live by satellite to screens round the state. In a speech laced with ‘punch dialogues’, he metaphorically kicked the “villain” Congress, as a typical Telugu film hero might in the last reel. But other signals from his Friday First Show were a bit more ambiguous: He had words of praise for Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu; did not speak either for or against Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy; was not clear about the agenda of his party, Jana Sena; did not specify if the party will contest the coming elections; and did not say if he would enter the fray himself. If kicking the Congress is his only agenda, he need not waste his energies: it is like flogging a dead horse."

"I seriously believe that Madam Gandhi and KCR apart, the people of Telangana should give as much credit to Kiran for formation of the new state. But for his blatant anti-Telangana posture, the separate statehood sentiment would never have turned strong enough to compel Delhi into conceding it."

"Andhra Pradesh’s misery has been unending. Almost on a daily basis, Chandrababu Naidu preaches us value-based politics as he seeks to stop Jagan in his tracks. But what kind of value-based politics is he conveying when he garlands all and sundry, desperate to jump off the Titanic that the Congress is? As if not to displease those who cannot join the TDP for various reasons, he would advise them to go to the BJP with which he is expected to have a poll truck."
