Channel V had come up with pop singers hunt...later went on to form a band called VIVA ..a indian version of spicegirls...

It was a big craze during college days...I use to like Mahua Kamat's voice a lot...she use to stand apart with her curly hair and chubby look...

Hey, don't knock Viva. The music may have been forgettable (I certainly don't remember) but those girls sure were very pretty. Anushka and Pratichee I think. Don't recall the others.

unfortunately, they launched the album with so much gusto that it went straight into the arabian sea and i never got a chance to listen to their songs.

Yeah, I liked Neha for her "singing"; I remember Viva - and this was when Sandeep Chowta (Blore) was hittin it big in Hollywood and Tollywood...in one episode a girl who was an AIR artist sang and he said she sucked. She went crying - he brought her back and said "no" again...high comedy.

Aunty - some pointers:

1. Filmy dialogs like tamil blip-blop-blah above will only pander & impress unkils in your Chennai colony. Very Happy

2. 2002 was 10 yrs ago- Viva happened in 2001? I thought they were around in 1990s somehow. My bad, I was in PU college :-D

3. It's your assumption that everyone on CH already has kids and are hitting mid-life crisis like you by the time they register. There were a lot of people of ALL ages on CH in 2002. Pity - it got frikkin auntified by the likes of Sasthi, you etc.

4. I will still call you AUNTY becuase, you ARE one! You don't get it - you're an aunty and Age does NOT have as much to do with it as your posts.
