CHANDIGARH: Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday asked Haryana government to file its reply on allegations that the state government has fabricated data and prepared false reports to give quota to jats and four other castes under specially backward class (SBC) category.

A division bench headed by chief justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul has also issued notice to Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, which has allegedly prepared false data to ensure that jats and other castes are included in the SBC. The case has been fixed for May 19 for
 further hearing.   ............
