From Akbar to Julius Caesar Empty From Akbar to Julius Caesar

So i have been reading about Julius Caesar intermittently. Was first introduced to him in Class X when i studied Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar' in school.

Caesar was a fascinating person and his assassination was a great tragedy.

Among his qualities are the following: a first rate military general, a great orator (he was said to be the second best orator in Italy--the best being Cicero--and the reason he was not considered by scholars to be as great an orator as Cicero was because his speeches were sparse, to the point, appealing to the mind and to reason, and devoid of any rhetorical flourishes), and an excellent writer. He has left behind two autobiographical accounts: 'Gallic Wars' and 'Civil Wars'. Unfortunately he is focussed in these works is discussing military strategy and gives very little information about his personal life (unlike the autobiographies of Babur and Jahangir for example).
