Q: Why are 2014 elections revolving around Modi only? BJP, SP, BSP, TMC, AIADMK etc are not taking any stand on the misgovernance by UPA govt for the last 10 years? What about the Congress scams and accountability on its failures including Aadhaar? What will influence the Voters for their choice of party to govern for next 5 years?
A: Those who are fighting the UPA are definitely talking about scams of the UPA government. They are seeking votes on the basis of non-performance of the UPA. But voters will now vote according to the personalities they like and not the party.

EXACTLY...this is wat I have been saying. Indians like superficial democracy but always prefer a strong personality to lead - be it a household, panchayat, state, or the country. BJP was the most democratic but look around. the only non-family/personlity based party is CPI/CPIM. And, these never can convert their internal democracy into Government power. RSS HATES personality based parties (forget the fact that it has a vatican like dictatorial organizational structure). But, finally realized there is no other way for BJP to grab power. It switched strategy and backed Modi - although he long ceased to be their man (trust me - i know). RSS "thinks" it can control Modi and through him dismantle personlity based politics. One has to wait and see if Modi will convert BJP into another ADMK, TMC.

Indians love dictatorial democracy.
