iPhone quality

Apple likes to boast on quality of their products. I end up buying 3 charger cables in last 3 months i.e. about 65 dollars. Is this just a one-off issue/design flaw or is it going to spill into other Apple products as well? Remember the security flaw related to encryption that was announced a month ago.

Their charging cables are the worst! I am plugged in all the time. Cant keep my cable straight and have to replace every 7-8 months. But three cables is a bit much & unusual. Did you take it to the apple store & yell at them?

Take it to the store. There is a good chance you will get a replacement.

I will give that a try. I bought AUVIO cable 3rd time. Appears to be of better quality.

My experience with apple store is that they replace without lot of trouble.

their charging cables are awful. same thing with the macbook air power adapter. they replaced it without question based on the warranty though.

I dropped mine and damaged the rim, scratched the screen Sad

And this is my second set. Last time my screen was shattered. Completely. Had to buy a new set. This time I can live with it.
Really hoping something else to go wrong with pixels or the speakers or something else that's covered in warranty n I'll get a new phone then

That sucks. I bought a sturdy ottebox case but it makes it so heavy to carry.

I have one too now. I mean seriously..why would they make a phone made of glass n not cover broken phones in warranty.

I'm thinking I'll get HTC one next time.

apple cables are awful. i have replaced so many for the much used ipad and just y'day, i got the mac air power adapter replaced (luckily, it was through warranty) - it wouldn't charge thanks to yet another frayed cable. wish they hadn't fused the cable with the adapter.

Old ones were okay but these new lightning chargers are so fragile you don't have to do much to break them.
