How come only womenless men become well known leaders in India? Empty How come only womenless men become well known leaders in India?

Post by indophile Thu Apr 10, 2014 10:37 am

It all started with Jawaharlal Nehru. He was a widower when he became PM.
Vajpayee is a bachelor
Modi has no woman in his life when he is just about to become PM.
Kejriwal's wife may have left him long time ago not being able to put up with that Crazywal.
Rahul Gandhi is a bachelor too.
Jinnah's wife was dead and gone when he became whatever he became in Pakistan.
PVN was wifeless when he became PM?

Anymore?

Dr. Abdul Kalam came to mind right away.

What about all the menless women leaders:)

Indira Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Jayalalitha, other popular CMs and women leaders?

I am not sure, if they are "womanless" or "manless"..only in "legal terms" they may be so.."husbandsless" or "wivesless"Smile

Because married men get bogged down by wife's constant bitchin' and moanin'. "Why don't you first pay the water bill before trying to fix the water dispute??" "Why don't you find a decent job instead of dealing with these deadbeat politicians??" The waah waah waah of wife is constant!!

Less distraction, focused mind is the source for success and unmarried men get that by default.

Also, by reaching middle age married men too get trained well to face home adversaries and then succeed in public life or at work.

No. Young men get easily distracted by women, so "till men are womanless" doesn't work for most young men.

Middle-age tones down their hormones so they are less distracted. Even married men "learn" to stave off distraction from wives/women and succeed in whatever they do.

In other words, the implication is that majority of the men seem to hold only one of spine or its (per)mutation strong, straight and serviceable in a given phase of life

And they say behind every successful man there's always a woman telling him he is wrong!

True. Only when the woman moves from their screen front to the background (behind), they seem to reorient themselves to 'worthy' causes  Smile

Women-full politicians are also popular (in the sikular arena).

Laloo unloaded his political frustrations of the day on his wife in the night.

Mulayam's mind is full of women when he made his recent fukular statement:

Hello Mr. DUT!

Sara has some serious competition..can't make this stuff up (pardon the pun!)..here are some photoshopped posters specially made for her birthday, not too long ago. They are so amusing! The world leaders exalting her as "our leader, our mother"...and she is not only seen as the "Queen"...in one of them #3 she is the "unbeaten King" too!

I am sure Sara is..just as handsome or even more:)

What can I say..that's how our tamil supermen are..they are fierce love puppies (!) with smother you with love and passion!

Seriously, Jayalalitha may have the last laugh..I have been trying hard to keep away from TamilNadu politics..but, can't seem to escape now online- social media/TV..it's really heating up now. Will be interesting to see the election results. Not too long ago, looked like ADMK will sweep all 40 seats. But, lately looks like there may be a split..ADMK winning the majority, followed by the DMK and BJP Alliance. No predictions, we'll see!

Take care.

I think it's much easier for a second or third-generation politician to be married and have a family while pursuing a political career because they will get familiar support through the ups and downs of that career (Eg: Sachin Pilot, Omar Abdullah, J Scindia, Sheela Dikshit, Vasundhara Raje etc).

No such support exists for first-generation politicians. In the absence of a stable job, it's hard for men to find a life partner and raise a family. Even harder for women. If you look at the singletons - Didi, Amma, Mayawati, Namo (notwithstanding Jasodaben), Vajpayee etc - they are all first generation politicos. Pappu is an exception to this but that may be because he's gay and is yet to find a beard like SRK's.

You shouldn't club widowers in this category. The cause-effect is probably reversed there. The stress from a spouse's political career, I suspect, severely shortens lifespans.

what are you drinking these days?
Other day you revealed namo is a player and he is active.
Today you suggest pappu and srk are more like karan johar than salaman Khan.
