Thanks and no thanks. We don't need such 'bravery' for any political or administrative office in India. We can do with those who have a single minded devotion, commitment and focus to the job that they are willing to sacrifice their family for the larger cause.

It is a failure of the Indian judicial system that it takes so long to get a divorce. There was a time in India when those Hindu women who refused to commit sati despite encouragement of their families or when Hindu widows remarried despite the existing Hindu law prohibiting widow remarriage then these women had to face the same kind of sarcastic attacks that Amrita is facing from Smartha and other Modi supporters.

Read your first para again. You want the public to accept that Amrita is separated just because she is not living with her husband for the last few years. And that is also the reason public should sanction her and Diggy's behavior even before the legal processes coming through. 

However, Modi and Yashoda being separated for even much longer time, doesn't mean much and they better honor their marital commitments as per the law. This is what we call double standards that Diggy's dogs somehow don't get. They lived too loyal like a dog long enough and now even their buddhi (intellect) is perpetually bent like that of it's tail.

A marriage which is only valid in 'legal' terms but practically void for all purposes, doesn't need to be talked about anywhere except when mandated in any other legal procedure/process. So he is not obliged to disclose it except when legally required to do so and he did so when it was required. None sees any issue here legal or otherwise.

Let us agree that if u select a random sample of people from India they are more likely to support Modi. But that means nothing. Hitler also enjoyed tremendous popular support. If u have the big corporates supporting u and thousands of crores of cash to spend on election canvassing it is not too difficult to get people to support you. One way to do this is to win media houses and senior journalists over to your side through the lure of lucre.
