An interesting discussion on the raise of income inequality.

A few excerpts:
Top 1% have increased their share of wealth in 24 of 26 advanced economies and super rich are getting richer every passing year with credit booms, extraordinary increase of capital asset prices. 85 wealthiest people in the world have more than half of the world population. One of the participants said to place income inequality ahead of climate change issue, unemployment, disruptive affects of austerity policies. Some of the suggestions are to have high rate of taxation on very high incomes to discourage them from asking for more, raise living standards of poor by  increasing minimum wages substantially in the US, strengthen social insurance, retirement, healthcare programs that have immediate impact on millions of people.
