not able to see the video now. but the reason Cong leaders are defending Mulayam is probably because they realize that if they keep fighting with each other the BJP will eventually gobble up both of them like a large fish gobbling up two small fishes one at a time. It is only if they join forces and unite against the BJP that both of them have a chance of surviving in UP.

Congress won two seats (out of 80) in UP. Samajwadi Party won five seats in UP, but because Mulayam contested from two seats and won from both he will have to vacate one of these seats and i think it is a given that the seat he vacates will now be won by the BJP in the by-election. So the SP will be left with four seats in UP and also four seats only in the Lok Sabha.

Yup! Votes are more important than any economic, moral reason to support in any parts of the world.
