syrian christians, by definition, are not catholics; they are malayalee, eastern orthodox christians. today, there are some malayalee christians who classify themselves as syrian catholics. they are actually malayalee catholics, who, in the 15th or 16th century, were forcibly converted to catholicism by the portuguese, but now want to preserve their original syrian christian heritage, so call themselves "syrian" catholics.

i have not heard that the number 1 is inauspicious for syrian catholics.

we used to do that poem for a certain kind of bird in india, depending on the # you saw of them. would go something like:
1 for sorrow
2 for joy
3 for silver
4 for boy
and so on. If we saw two we used to tap two fingers on our lips and make kissing sounds to acknowledge the luck.

Of course...of course... I know all that (dont forget that I know "Everything").
Then you should start a movement to change the Syrian protestants, Syrian Orthodoxes, and Syrian Catholics, to change their name to "Keral Christians" why ingratiate to the West and the Whites - least of all SYRIANS ?
