a news report by the economic times, published in india,

says:
US President Barack Obama will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House on September 29 and 30 during which the two leaders would discuss a wide range of bilateral and strategic issues."
[size=59]notice that the reporter first uses "will" correctly, then uses "would," entirely incorrectly, probably in an absurd attempt at pomposity, or to emulate indian bureaucratese.[/size]
[size=59]these indian reporters should write in the regional language. [/size]

correction: (in the title) "voodDchuck," not "voofDchuck."

'will', 'would' aside, I am glad they both are meeting. The guy who was denied a US visa is now meeting with the President of the country who is 'looking forward to welcoming' him. Power equations!
