It didn't take that long for bait and switch Babu to cheat farmers. He baiscally came up with creative conArtistry (techniques) to eliminate eligibility of farmers for loan waiver program to fit his pre-allocated budget of 5000 crores. According to the polls by several TV channels, about 2/3rd of farmers felt cheated and are unhappy with CBN's handling of this issue.

Farmers who voted for Babu are devastated by the bait-and-switch strategy adopted by him; before elections, they were promised that all agricultral loans will be waived no matter what, now they feel betrayed by  unscrupulous methods employed by A.P govt to eliminate the majority of agricultural loans. For example, CBN brought in scale of finance in to the equation which was not mentioned in his election manifesto. Also, majority of gold loans taken by the farmers are for agriculture purpose (this is an open secret, all political parties are aware of this) but present govt. downgraded the priority on waiving those loans which will tie the hands of many farmers from acquiring future loans.
