if it can implement OCI - it should hv no trouble following the lead of most Western countries (was reading about Hingis - she was a real cutie teenager with perfect square shoulders - she is still cute)

Ya, but along with Hingis, we would have to take in the NRI Patriot hordes! Even without any voting rights or any big stake in their old home country, these make for an insufferably loud and crassly bigoted set, forever wanting to shape India into something that better suits their time-warped sensibilities. Just imagine the consequences of giving this bunch voting rights!

It's truly heartbreaking to turn away Hingis, but she comes with too much of baggage!
