did obama nominate several iit alumni to the same post?

if he nominated only one person, the correct word is "alumnus" or "alumna" (feminine gender), not "alumni" (plural).

Most people know the kind of shyt that you point out. People know how to google and find the correct spelling or grammar - IF THEY CARE. Just that no one treats this as some kind of archival journal or some literary reference.

So, unless you have something serious on grammar lesson and sentence structure issues - CAN IT.
