Agree with most of it. In fact, they should encourage retirees to join the military. If there are wars, population will decrease and the pension load will be less. They can create elaborate death rituals to satisfy the families of the deceased.

However, there are negatives as well. If captured, the oldies will spill the beans. In general oldies tend to be cynical, corrupt and less nationalistic (just look at K'nidhi, Laloo, Mulayam, etc.).

So, looks like the army can put Uppili, Seva and Sandilya to good use!
