Why is ISIS winning? Empty Why is ISIS winning?

....ISIS consists of soldiers from the Old Saddam regime that the West so resoundingly defeated. So how come ISIS is defeating everyone?

ISIS follows no rules of war or engagement. In effect, they are treating this as a civil war and follows Saddam and Assad's brutal methods. Looks like the West has to let Bashar to do the job and West looking the other way. I am sure that is what West will end up doing.
