"All those who are above the age of 75 were declared brain dead on May 26, 2014," the former finance minister remarked at an industry meet on Tuesday evening, referring to the day PM Modi was sworn in.

"I am among those brain dead," he joked.

Mr Sinha, 82, did not contest the 2014 national election; his son Jayant was given a ticket to contest and is now junior finance minister.

Is he complaining that his son was given a ticket?

Advani, Joshi, Sinha, et al., should gracefully quit politics and embark on vanaprastha. Clamouring for attention at his age indicates that he hasn't matured yet.

ND Tiwari, Doggy and Abhishek Manu Singhvi, etc., should also join in........
Hmm...... may be not; if they join, they will bring a bad name to the institution of Vanaprastha.

If the IAS officers, Military officers, educated academicians, and Company executives can be declared braindead at 60 by the Netas why cant the Netas be treated as brain dead at 75? In fact, they should be declared Brain Dead at 60 as well.

Remember Nanaji Deshmukh who stepped down as I & B Minister when he turned 60 and quit politics and did social work for the next 25 years until his death?

these guys (above 75) should be thinking of 'sanyasa'.
